The federal government does a lot of good, both at home and around the world. Sometimes, they make mistakes and sometimes they go beyond their authorized powers in the United States Constitution. We believe the states have a right and a duty to defend their citizens when the federal government violates the Constitution…so did Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.
This initiative simply reasserts a remedy that is embodied in the Constitution and has been part of our history for 225 years. We respect the role of the Supreme Court but also recognize that the country is stronger as both the state and federal governments have more checks and balances against each other.
